Itching powder found in RI's net in KL stadium: PSSI Chairman
Head of the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) Nurdin Halid said that a powder with the ability to cause itchiness and allergic reactions has been discovered in front of Indonesia's net in the Bukit Jalil football stadium, Kuala Lumpur, during the last finals' match training session.
Nurdin said that the powder has caused itchiness for Indonesia's goalkeeper Markus Haris Maulana and the defense players to experience itchiness.
“Markus even had swellings,” Nurdin said Monday, as quoted by Tempointeraktif.com.
Malaysia trashed Indonesia 3-0. The torrent of goals came minutes after Indonesia's team protested that laser beams were disrupting the players' concentration.
Nurdin said that the PSSI team has reported the suspicious powder to the match's committee in Malaysia.
He added that the team was already terrorized since they were on the bus heading to the stadium.
